What's New & Exciting

No really, I'm asking you! What's new and exciting! LOL

So many new things happening here in sunny California!

I made a covert trip to Canada a few weeks ago... too much drama to go into here, but let's just say that history has a way of repeating itself generation after generation and I truly hope that she sees what's right in front of her face a lot sooner than I did.

We're love Love LOVING living in our new house! So far, we've gotten the living room, our bedroom, Dayle's bedroom and Michaela's bedroom painted. The next on the list is the 19ft high wall in the stairway. My plan there is to fill that whole wall, ceiling to stairs, with pictures! Pictures of my family, TeeJ's family, Dayle (of course!), Shawna, Justin and Jaycee, Gloria's family, Jennifer's family and Michaela's family. :) Shouldn't be too hard to do! LOL Especially if I continue to acquire children at the same rate as I have been recently!

We've made some really cool changes in the yard, too. I didn't know how much fun it would be to get my hands so dang dirty! Hahaha Just like being a kid again! I have Nick's Memorial Garden all planted and I look at it every day to see if anything is popping up yet (I planted mostly bulbs and bare root flowers). It's coming along well!

Dayle is having fun being so busy! She's looking for a second job (she HAD a second job, but there's another drama for you that isn't worth going into). She's still in school and keeping her ducks in a row. I love being her Mom! She's such an awesome young woman!

Michaela is getting her massage therapy career going. Which reminds me, I need to hand out some of her new business cards. I was privileged to be her "test dummy" while she was in school and I have to tell you she is SO worth the $$$!! Email me if you want to get a massage! Hehehe

Gloria is hoping to get a second job soon, too. She's liking the day care where she works, but it doesn't go far enough in paying her bills. She's still in school, too. She and Dayle have some classes together. Gloria has been a wonderful addition to the family, we're so glad to have her!

Jennifer is still going strong at work, too. She's such a good teacher! This is the right career for her, that's for sure! When she comes home on the week ends, she always livens things up! And as long as I keep getting new "toys" for her to play with, she's happy to be there! LOL With our new puppy coming home in a few weeks, that Dyson she's so in love with is going to be her new best friend! LOL

TeeJ has been pretty stressed out lately. And who can blame him, he's so worried about his Dad (we all are!). They have had the best relationship these last few years and I hope Ed recovers from this heart problem and sticks around a lot more years. Ed has the best attitude about life! He decided he's not done living and doing the things he's always wanted to do. I love that!

TeeJ's sister gave him a lawn mower and a rototiller this past week end. LOL You'd think he won the lottery or something! Hahaha! To say that he's happy in the new house is a big understatement! LOL But he works so hard, he deserves a beautiful house with lots of space to move around and I love watching him "putz around" inside and out.

Me, well, I've been pretty sick lately. Rose and I are both blaming this "bug" on someone on the plane on our way down to LA to be with Ed after his surgery. We're the only ones so sick and the only ones who flew down there. So 'Sick Dude On The Plane', whoever you are, we're pretty mad at you right now!!! :)

Well, my day is done, it's time to go home. Have a wonderful day, wherever you are and whatever you do. And remember that life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Joanne

PS: I forgot to mention that I had a nice surprise today! Someone I care about made a re-appearance in my life today. I'm so happy to have heard from her and I hope she and I can someday rekindle our friendship. There's a lot of "stuff" that stands in the way. But that "stuff" is all history, caused by other people . I have thought about her often and I have missed her a lot. It's been a good day!
